The Concept Maple Exotic Series blends exotic DW style wood veneers with PDP Concept Series shells for boutique aesthetics and high-value tone. These Concept Maple Exotic drums from PDP are constructed with European maple shells, wrapped in an exotic outer veneer, and finished in a glossy lacquer. In addition to eye-catching looks, these drums offer a punchy attack, warm tone, and full resonance. Then, the Concept Exotics offer the same, pro-level drum hardware as their Concept Maple cousins. The 7-ply Concept toms come in F.A.S.T. (Fundamentally Accurate Sized Toms) sizes, so each tom is built for sustain. The rack toms utilize DW’s Suspension Tom Mounts (STMs), while the 7-ply bass drums are fitted with diecast, low-mass claw hooks. The 10-ply snare is fitted with a trusted DW MAG throw-off, along with chromed snare wires, featuring carbon steel coils and brass end plates. Like all Concept drums, the Concept Exotics are made with DW’s True Pitch tension rods, graduated counter hoop thicknesses, retro-inspired, dual-turret lugs, and Remo drum heads. This setup features 8x10" and 9x12" mounted toms, 14x16" floor tom, 18x22" bass drum, and a 5.5x14" snare drum.
